En última instancia, reducir la incidencia de crisis hipertensivas requiere trascender el paradigma
tradicional centrado en el episodio agudo para adoptar una visión comprehensiva que reconozca estas
emergencias como fallas del sistema de manejo crónico de la HTA, profundamente influenciadas por
el contexto social en el que viven los pacientes. Solo mediante este enfoque integral se podrá avanzar
significativamente en la prevención de estas complicaciones potencialmente devastadoras de la
hipertensión arterial
