Results-Based Management (RBM) has become a key strategy for modernizing public administration in Latin America, particularly in Ecuador. This article analyzes the evolution and implementation of RBM in Ecuadorian public institutions, focusing on planning, monitoring, and evaluation practices developed by entities such as the Secretaría Técnica de Planificación and decentralized autonomous governments. Through a qualitative methodology based on documentary review, this study identifies progress, challenges, and strategic recommendations to strengthen institutional efficiency and accountability in the Ecuadorian public sector.
