This article analyzes the role of financial education as a determining factor in the sustainability of entrepreneurship. Based on a descriptive research approach and a mixed-methods design, data were collected through surveys and interviews with entrepreneurs and institutional actors related to the business ecosystem. The findings reveal that many entrepreneurs lack basic knowledge in financial management, which negatively affects their ability to make strategic decisions, assess risks, and manage resources effectively. A significant relationship between financial education and business performance was identified, particularly in areas such as planning, profitability, and adaptability to the economic environment. Moreover, strategies are proposed to promote financial literacy as a transversal axis in entrepreneurial training. The study concludes that strengthening financial education is essential to improve the sustainability and success of businesses and to foster a more resilient and growth-oriented entrepreneurial culture.
