Mejoramiento de la Seguridad y Salud Ocupacional como un Problema Social

Resumo

O presente estudo aborda o impacto da Segurança e Saúde Ocupacional (SSO) na redução das desigualdades sociais e econômicas. O objetivo principal é estabelecer de que maneira a melhoria da SSO pode contribuir para a prevenção de doenças ocupacionais e acidentes de trabalho, promovendo a equidade e o bem-estar dos trabalhadores. Para isso, foi aplicada uma abordagem qualitativa por meio de revisão bibliográfica, analisando pesquisas acadêmicas e documentos de organizações internacionais, como a OIT (Organização Internacional do Trabalho), a OMS (Organização Mundial da Saúde) e a EU-OSHA (Agência Europeia para a Segurança e Saúde no Trabalho). Os resultados evidenciam diferenças significativas nas condições de trabalho em diversas regiões do mundo, com taxas particularmente elevadas de mortalidade e doenças ocupacionais na África e no Sudeste Asiático. A falta de segurança laboral, a insuficiência de regulamentações e o acesso limitado a serviços médicos especializados agravam ainda mais essas desigualdades. Conclui-se, portanto, que a melhoria da SSO não apenas previne riscos ocupacionais, mas também fortalece a estabilidade econômica global, reduz a pressão sobre os sistemas públicos de saúde e promove a inclusão social.
